About Deyata Kirula Exhibition

 

The Annual Exhibition Deyata Kirula commenced in 2007. The objective of the Exhibition at that time was to enlighten the masses about the dedication and sacrifices being made by the security forces, to highlight the gains being made by them and the importance of carrying out the war up to an end.

Development weeks for each Divisional Secretariat Division will be carried out. The first development week will be held at the Padaviya Divisional Secretariat Division from 11th to 17th of July. In line with this development week programmes, mobile services in which all government departments will represent to solve the problems faced by the people of the district will also be held. The first such mobile service will be held on 16th and 17th July in the Padaviya Divisional Secretariat Division The first exhibition in 2007, the second in 2008 and the third in 2009 in the months of February were held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.

However, after winning the war the President instructed the Exhibition Committee to shift the venue of the Exhibition to outside of Colombo and accordingly the 2010 Exhibition of the post war Sri Lanka was held in Kandy, which was the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings. For the first time development activities were also combined with the Exhibition and accordingly many roads and other infrastructure facilities were developed.

With the aim of  propagation of more Infrastructre facilities and Econimical benefits for rural area 5 th Deyata Kirula National Development  programme was implemented in the Monaragala District . The Exhibiotion held on Buttala in 2011. Many roads were developed in the Monaragala District including Bridges. The Theams of 5 th Deyata Kirula was "Wonder of Crown"   

Sixth Deyata Kirula National Development Programme was launched in Anuradhapura District . The Exhibition was held  at Oyamaduwa in 2012. The Oyamaduwa.Oyamaduwa is forest area.Which is located near Willpaththu Sanctury.Througth the Sixth Deyata Kirula National Development Programme many roads were re-constructed in the Anuradhapura area by including road from Puththalam to Anuradhapura. The Theams of Sixth Deyata Kirula was "Wonder of recurrence" . Affer Completing Sixth Deyata Kirula, His Exellency The President decided to propagate the econimical benefits of Deyata Kirula National Development Programme for more districts rather than one district. according into this situation   07 th Deyata Kirula National Development Exhibition will be held at Ampara by including infrastructure developing activities in the Batticola,Trincomalee and Polonnaruwa.
